The room was lovely and delightful with central heating and a seating area.
Delightful and lovely accommodation with stunning setting right by the mountains, ferry terminal at Picton and the centre of Murchison. Good and amazing staff all over the place. Great breakfast for all tastes with jams, Daphne's bread and homemade preserves.

The cozy atmosphere of the lodge welcomed us. A wood stove was crackling, and homemade brownies added a good touch. Our King Room was spacious and beautifully decorated, with comfortable bedding that ensured a restful night. Breakfast was a highlight-fresh fruit, homemade bread, and mouthwatering scones accompanied eggs and bacon cooked to perfection. The hosts, Philip and Daphne, were warm and accommodating. The surrounding scenery was fine, especially the view of the Buller River and nearby mountains. I wished for a more extensive dinner menu, as options were somewhat limited. Otherwise, everything was great. The shared kitchen and lounging area were lovely, fostering a homey vibe.

The freedom of staying in the middle of nowhere granted very nice stargazing opportunities. The charm of experiencing a homely atmosphere.
The bed in the King Room lacked comfort, feeling cold during the night, which might've been improved by utilizing an electric blanket. Noise pollution from the communal kitchen and lounge was a concern, especially given the thin walls.

The lodge provided a serene atmosphere by the
River. The communal kitchen and lounge fostered a friendly vibe, and the hosts were cute. Although the location is somewhat remote, the scenic paths to the river made for good walks.

Amazing stay with very nice views!
We had such a cozy time here. The room was super comfy, and we loved the heated mattress pads. Breakfast was awesome-tons of fresh fruit and homemade bread! Plus, the lounge area was perfect. Wish there were more dinner options on-site, though.

The lodge had a cozy atmosphere with fine mountain views, perfect for a relaxing stay. The wood-burning stove in the sitting room was great for chilly evenings, and philip made an excellent breakfast with lots of choices. It's also just a short walk to the buller river, ideal for some peaceful walks.

Couple's Cozy Retreat
Our hosts Philip and Daphne, offering us homemade treats and the warmth of their charming lodge. The breakfast was out of this world, with homemade jams and fresh fruit that got us through a long day of adventures.
It wasn't exactly a bargain, but it was worth every penny.
